Job Summary
Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Flushing NY 11355
Duration: 16 Weeks Contract
Description
Shift:
- Day Shift 5 days/week
- 7-hour shifts (09:00 AM 05:00 PM)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care maintain efficient clinical workflows and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and treatments
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting patient information
- Maintain sterile techniques and support minor procedures
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling patient intake and record management
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Korean language proficiency (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and sterile techniques
