Marsh Property Risk Consulting is seeking a motivated Risk Consultant to join our Johannesburg (Sandton) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with an Industrial Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree and experience in Health & Safety Environmental Assessment Fire or Water Risk roles to advance their career within a leading insurance broker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular industrial site risk assessments at client locations
- Perform risk assessments fire surveys and compile reports including loss calculations and risk recommendations
- Schedule and oversee activities ensuring completion by competent resources
- Review quality of outputs and prepare business feedback summaries
- Present findings and reports to clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide consulting support as needed
Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Environmental Impact Assessment Health & Safety or Fire Protection
- Knowledge of risk management principles
- Advanced skills in MS Word Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a local language
- IFA or NEBOSH certification is a plus but not required
