Job Summary
Vocal Instructor (Sargam / Indian Classical Basics Online)
We are looking for a patient and skilled vocal instructor to teach beginners the fundamentals of Sargam (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) through online sessions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with new learners and building a strong musical foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live online singing lessons via Zoom or Google Meet
- Teach basic Sargam (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) alankars and simple exercises
- Help students understand pitch sur (intonation) and rhythm
- Correct voice modulation breathing and mistakes in real-time
- Provide a simple weekly riyaaz (practice) plan
- Create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment for beginners
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Indian classical basics / Sargam
- Ability to teach absolute beginners in a simple structured way
- Good sense of pitch and rhythm
- Comfortable conducting live online sessions
- Patience and clear communication skills
- Prior teaching experience is a plus (not mandatory if teaching clarity is strong)
Selection Process
- Short trial session (1520 minutes) to evaluate teaching style and clarity
