BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION
The Public Partnerships Division (PPD) under the Partnerships and Innovation (PI) Department leads WFP engagement with government and intergovernmental partners and public financing channels. It works with Global Offices and donor account teams to protect grow and diversify WFPs public funding base.
The PI CO Support Hub sits within PPD and provides 360 Partnerships Support to Country Offices in close coordination with Global Offices Donor Accounts and other Global Functions and Regional Director Office (RDO) teams (together Global Headquarters - GHQ). It provides support across planning business development operational delivery and knowledge management and learning. The Hub works in close coordination with Global Offices Donor Account teams and Regional Bureaux and coordinates corporate processes such as CSP and ACR reviews and targeted campaigns and briefings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The fellow will support the rollout and refinement of an AI powered resource mobilization tool through structured WFP user testing turning user consultations into business questions and clear agent specifications capabilities intents prompt flows and prompt library entries for the development team.
Discover and define user centred product framing
Meet and shadow Partnerships colleagues in Country Offices and Headquarters capture the top user questions and turn them into short user stories with acceptance notes for example As a Partnerships Officer I need to list donors that funded nutrition in Malawi but not WFP in the last five years so that I can identify entry points.
Build a simple prompt library one pattern per question include two example inputs the expected output and a grounding note keep versions in the shared folder.
Work with the team to confirm which filters and views are needed for each question write down the required fields from external funding data and from internal contribution data and record any assumptions for the developer handover.
Prototype and build AI agents and workflows
Draft a one-page agent description for each capability purpose target user inputs outputs limits and data sources use the team template so developers can build from it.
Prepare basic prompt flows using agreed templates include the main path a simple fallback and one or two safe responses for edge cases link each flow to a user story in the prompt library.
Map dependencies among datasets and document these through sample queries and/or screenshots.
Test and learn evidence driven iteration
Run task-based tests with the pilot cohort using Testing Guidance and Feedback Tracker capture screenshots and short transcripts and tag each finding by capability.
Log findings as tickets with steps to reproduce expected behaviour and actual behaviour attach evidence propose a simple next action and assign the correct label defect usability content gap or feature request.
Maintain a small evaluation set ten to twenty cases per capability update it after each fix and rerun the same cases to check for regressions.
Enable and document adoption and scale
Produce quick start guides and short demos that show how to complete one real task for each capability keep language simple and include a link to known limitations.
Keep a living FAQ and a known issues list up to date share weekly highlights with the product lead and the developer team.
At the end of each test cycle present a short readout what worked what did not what to build next and update the agent one pagers and the prompt library accordingly.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Be a Masters student or a graduate in a relevant field for example Data Science or AI Computer Science Information Systems Human Computer Interaction from a recognized university;
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C). Working knowledge of another official UN language (French Spanish Arabic Chinese Russian plus Portuguese) is an asset.
Hands on skills in Database Management (DBM) or modern AI tooling for example prompt engineering familiarity with agent frameworks for example Copilot Studio Palantir AIP or similar is a plus
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences and to co create solutions with end users
