JOB TITLE: Partnerships Graphic Designer

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Partnerships and Innovation Department (PI) operates in an increasingly constrained funding environment marked by growing competition for resources diversification of partnership modalities and rising expectations for clear consistent and compelling communication with both internal and external this context effective strategic communication visual storytelling and usercentred design are critical enablers of partnership development knowledge sharing and institutional coherence.
The PI Front Office plays a central role in shaping departmental narratives corporate messaging seniorlevel products and external engagement materials. As part of the ongoing PI restructuring the department has established a dedicated Country Office (CO) Support Hub to strengthen field level resource mobilization and partnership capacities. Ensuring coherence quality and usability across PI requires dedicated design and communication expertise.
This consultancy position is shared on a 50/50 basis between the PI Front Office and the PI CO Support Hub. The role will provide handson support to strengthen PIs visual identity communication products digital interfaces and user experience across platforms. The consultant will help translate complex strategies data and guidance into clear engaging and accessible communication products tailored to diverse audiences including senior management partners and Country Offices.
The assignment will contribute to consolidating knowledge improving the usability of PI platforms and tools and reinforcing consistent branding and communication standards during a critical transition period for the department.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop Partnerships communications and engagement strategies for the PI department including branding communication plans and communication workflows.
close collaboration with the CO Support Hub map and design PI KM platforms to improve accessibility and user experience through clear user interfaces and branding.
3. In close collaboration with the PI Front Office develop and improve data visualisation and presentations for internal and external audiences 4. Design and redesign new and existing communications WFPGo pages presentations landing pages and other communications products required.
5. In close collaboration with teams contribute to the UI/UX design and development of new tools user interfaces and the visual improvement of platforms.
6. In close collaboration with teams provide technical support and templates for internal meetings and workshops.
7. In close collaboration with COM support PI annual corporate publications.
8. Propose innovative and creative solutions to enhance communication initiatives managed by the teams.
9. Remain abreast of WFPs corporate communications and advise PI department on branding guidelines while incorporating the latest design concepts.
10. Visual design of additional initiatives and/or campaigns managed by the Department.
11. Propose new interface solutions mock-ups and workflows to improve user experience.
12. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Advanced university degree (Masters level) in Communications Graphic Design Visual Communication Information Design Digital Media UX/UI Design or a closely related field.
Experience:
At least 4 years of progressively responsible professional experience in communication design visual communication digital content production or related fields preferably within the UN system international
organizations NGOs or comparable institutions.
Demonstrated experience in designing and producing highquality communication products including presentations reports infographics digital platforms and web or intranet content for internal and external audiences.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong expertise in visual communication graphic design and information design with the ability to translate complex information into compelling and accessible visuals.
Demonstrated experience in UX/UI principles and usercentred design particularly for digital platforms knowledge hubs or internal tools.
Proficiency in standard design and layout software and presentation tools with strong attention to detail and consistency.
Sound understanding of corporate branding communication guidelines and quality assurance processes within large organizations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities work to deadlines and deliver highquality outputs in a fastpaced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions and to provide constructive design guidance and technical support.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of another official language is desirable.
