Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead all site-level EHS initiatives in accordance with OSHA EPA TCEQ and other applicable regulatory agencies.
- Manage and continuously improve the facilitys Safety Program including training audits job hazard analyses (JHAs) and incident investigations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste stormwater and wastewater management.
- Monitor and manage the facilitys industrial wastewater system including compliance reporting sampling schedules and coordination with municipal water authorities.
- Conduct environmental inspections and ensure proper storage labeling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
- Maintain EHS records permits and documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Collaborate with operations maintenance and HR to ensure safe work practices and employee accountability.
- Manage safety committees lead monthly meetings and support behavior-based safety (BBS) programs.
- Develop and deliver training related to safety environmental compliance emergency response lockout/tagout (LOTO) confined space PPE and other EHS topics.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning including fire drills and spill response procedures.
- Track and report EHS metrics (TRIR DART near misses etc.) and develop actionable plans to improve performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science Industrial Hygiene or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferably in forging or metalworking.
- Working knowledge of OSHA EPA and TCEQ regulations particularly related to industrial wastewater and air permitting.
- Proven experience with wastewater system operations and environmental sampling/reporting.
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
