Job Summary
Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT) Emergency Department
Location: Hackensack NJ
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Rotating Shifts Every Other Weekend 2 of 3 Holidays Required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The role involves direct patient care clinical procedures and maintaining a safe efficient care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care: admissions vital signs glucose checks intake/output hygiene and comfort
- Perform clinical tasks: phlebotomy EKGs specimen collection and processing
- Support ED operations: patient transport room/equipment preparation assist in high-acuity cases (stroke sepsis cardiac)
- Respond to patient needs assist with meals and ensure timely communication with nursing staff
- Maintain cleanliness safety and inventory of supplies
- Provide patient-centered care based on individual needs
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- PCT Program completion
- 1 year recent acute care experience
- BLS (AHA required)
- Phlebotomy & EKG Certifications (required)
