Your Role
As the Industrial Design Intern you will contribute to the design and development of innovative products supporting projects from initial concept through to prototype. Your role will involve conducting market research mapping user journeys and performing competitive benchmarking to guide design decisions.
You will report directly to the CEO. Your day-to-day tasks will include creating mock-ups and 3D models to visualize product ideas supporting prototyping and testing efforts to refine designs and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure product intent aligns with functional and production realities.
Job Scope:
- Assist in the design and development of new products from concept to prototype.
- Conduct market research user journey mapping and analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform product decisions.
- Create mock-ups and 3D models to visualize product concepts.
- Support in prototyping and testing to refine designs for functionality and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering marketing operations production to align product intent with operational and production feasibility.
- Prepare presentations and design documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends materials and emerging technologies.

- Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
- Eager to learn with a strong ability to quickly absorb new concepts and apply them to real-world challenges
- Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes ergonomic design principles or human-centred design
- Experience using CAD and 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks
- Exposure to design research usability testing or prototyping with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
