The Biology Instructional Office is seeking a full-time instructional faculty member (non-tenured) for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position begins on August 16th 2026 and is renewable on a yearly basis.
Duties include teaching lower division undergraduate courses in the
following areas: genetics and introductory biology. Candidates must be qualified to teach in both areas. Service committee assignments curriculum development and other professional development opportunities are available.
All required materials (application letter of interest CV and 3 letters of recommendation) should be received by March 31st 2026 for full consideration by the search committee.
Salary negotiable based on experience. The University of Texas at Austin also provides a competitive benefits package: PhD in genetics or genomics or biology is required and previous teaching experience is strongly preferred. A full-time teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
