What will you do
Routinely working with laboratory analysts to ensure analysts have all required supplies prior to testing initiation.
Apply a variety of information management systems and tools to effectively manage inventory and logistics for samples standards assay controls critical reagents consumables and other items in support of the QC laboratory operations.
Assist laboratory analysts with a variety of non-billable support activities: glassware handling/labeling laboratory waste management laboratory inspections and walkthroughs labeling kanban/5S systems etc.
Assist with the creation and monitoring of purchase requisitions purchase orders and other procurement means in order to fulfill inventory requirements needed by the laboratory operations.
Collect wash and re-distribute laboratory glassware.
Manage laboratory waste transport to designated EHS drop-off areas.
Assists with the laboratory PMs where appropriate.
Assist with additional laboratory support duties (future non-billable non-critical tasks) as necessary to meet departmental goals.
Other duties as assigned.
How will you get here
Education/Experience:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience OR Bachelors Degree
Knowledge Skills Abilities
A flexible work schedule is required.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently with occasional heavier objects of up to 50lbs with assistance.
Routine push/pull/lift activities involving sample carts sample freezer trays and other objects.
Must be able to wear gloves and other PPE to handle samples.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. This role is actively moving between desk and laboratory work.
