Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is seeking a dependable and experiencedOn-Call Caregiverto support clients throughout Huntsvilleandthe surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who isflexibleadaptable andready to step in on short notice to ensure continuity of care.
Position Overview:
This on-call/float role requires stable availability Monday through Friday with weekly hours typically ranging from3240 hours. Caregivers willtraveltovariousclient locations and quickly adjust to new environments while delivering high-quality compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-oncaregiving support in a variety of home settings
- Step in for last-minute or short-notice assignments
- Ensure continuity of care and meet clients daily living needs
- Communicate effectively with clients families and office staff
- Adapt quickly to different care plans and environments
Qualifications:
- Minimum of2 years of caregiving experienceor active CNA certification
- Reliablepersonal transportationand willingness to travel within the Huntsville andallsurrounding areas
- Must be Comfortable working in homes with pets
- Strongcommunication adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Mustbe comfortable with a background screening
- Mustbe available for stable on-going Monday-Friday Daytime Schedule
- Musthave hands-on experience and be comfortable with mobility assistance and personal care including wheelchair transfersHoyer lift operation gait belt use Barton chair total/bedbound care catheter care etc.
- Mustbe able to assist with mobility provide personal care lift over 25 lbs and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
