Vice President Digital Wealth GRS
Role Purpose
The Vice President Digital Wealth GRS is accountable for building and scaling a digital wealth business that drives measurable revenue growth client acquisition and deeper wallet share with a strong emphasis on profitability and full P&L ownership. The VP will define the future of the digital wealth platform that will power the 2C ambition balancing innovation with disciplined financial management. This leader owns the commercial and financial performance of the digital wealth platform ensuring technology data and client experience translate into sustained profitable sales outcomes.
The role combines platform ownership with sales growth and profitability accountability redefining how wealth solutions are distributed sold and scaled through digital and hybrid channels while maintaining rigorous oversight of revenue expenses and overall P&L impact.
Strategic Mandate
Revenue & Sales Leadership
- Own sales revenue and growth outcomes for the digital wealth business across acquisition cross-sell and retention.
- Define and execute digital-first sales strategies across self-serve hybrid and advisor-supported models.
- Build scalable sales motions that convert digital engagement into funded accounts assets under management and recurring revenue.
- Set clear performance targets and dashboards linking platform activity to sales results.
Platform-Led Growth
- Own the end-to-end digital wealth platform ensuring it is designed to convert insight into action and intent into sales. The platform is intuitive to transact with ease personalized experiences and access to human advice when needed
- Partner with Product and Technology to prioritize features that accelerate conversion funding and engagement.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to power next-best offers personalization and real-time sales triggers.
- Optimize onboarding journeys and flows to reduce friction and increase completion rates.
Client Acquisition & Expansion
- Drive digital acquisition strategies that attract new clients and expand reach into new segments.
- Lead cross-sell and upsell strategies across investing retirement protection and advice solutions.
- Integrate digital marketing distribution and contact centre capabilities into a unified growth engine.
- Use experimentation and test-and-learn approaches to continuously improve conversion and sales effectiveness.
Client Acquisition & Expansion (2C-Focused)
- Develop and implement digital acquisition strategies specifically tailored to attract and engage end clients (2C) expanding reach into new consumer segments.
- Emphasize direct-to-client (2C) cross-sell and upsell initiatives across investing retirement protection and advice solutions ensuring that propositions are compelling and easy for clients to understand and purchase.
- Integrate digital marketing distribution and contact centre capabilities into a unified growth engine that prioritizes seamless client experiences and maximizes conversion.
- Apply experimentation and test-and-learn approaches to continually refine the client journey and enhance sales effectiveness keeping the focus on meeting client needs and driving sustainable growth in the 2C space.
Commercialization & Go-to-Market
- Own go-to-market strategies for new digital wealth capabilities and offerings
- Translate platform innovation into clear compelling client propositions that are easy to buy.
- Partner with Marketing to align demand generation with digital sales execution.
- Ensure pricing packaging and offers support growth and profitability.
Operating Model & Leadership
- Build and lead high-performing teams across digital and advisor sales platform operations and growth analytics.
- Establish governance incentives and operating rhythms that reinforce commercial accountability.
- Ensure regulatory risk and compliance requirements are embedded in all sales and distribution models.
- Act as a visible enterprise leader for digital wealth growth.
Experience & Capabilities
- 15 years of senior leadership experience in wealth management digital platforms or financial services.
- Proven track record owning revenue and sales performance in digital or hybrid distribution models.
- Experience scaling digital acquisition conversion and AUM growth.
- Strong understanding of wealth retirement and investment products.
- Data-driven commercial leader with experience using analytics and AI to drive sales outcomes.
- Comfortable operating in complex regulated environments.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
