Key purpose of the role:
As a member of the ASX test team you will work closely with developers support analysts and business analysts in reviewing and updating existing test cases automation of test cases creating new test cases test planning and execution managing defects reporting on progress and escalating issues to the Test Manager.
Your responsibilities
- You are a practitioner/team member of the Quality Engineering & Testing Capability Community of Practice (CoP).
- Planning and development of quality test approach test design and test cases for Systems under this team.
- Design build and maintain a test automation suite.
- Implement and execute test cases according to documented test design and time frames.
- Document results and report defects.
- Work closely with BAs Developers Support Analysts and Business Stakeholders to ensure understanding of the requirements and to communicate test status and issues.
- Document test results for sign off so releases can get promoted to production.
- Learn and use of automation tools developed internally and externally.
- Being an active member of the QE&T Community of Practice (CoP).
Your experience and qualifications
Must have
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Test Analyst
- Structured testing experience across system integration regression and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with testing APIs
- Worked as part of medium to large sized project teams
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in test automation and automation principals and strategies.
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
- Experience in test environment and test data setup.
- Ability to multi-task and be comfortable with frequently changing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience in testing futures/ derivatives products or trading systems
- Experience in test automation with JAVA.
- Experience in test automation with Python or Python scripting.
- Exposure to git bamboo Jenkins Bitbucket Maven Gradle build tools.
- Exposure to Junit cucumber testing tools.
- Exposure to API testing XML or any tag based language.
- Experience or knowledge in the trading domain (e.g. exchanges derivatives market data) would be an added advantage.
