Whats the Role:

The Infrastructure Services Manager (Storage & Backup) is accountable for the operational governance service performance and risk management of Westpacs enterprise Storage and Backup services. This role ensures services are delivered safely reliably and compliantly acting as the primary service management authority between Westpac and strategic delivery partners. It provides assurance that storage platforms meet business regulatory and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own endtoend service health and operational governance for enterprise storage platforms.
  • Provide regular service reporting across incidents changes problems vulnerabilities and upgrades.
  • Govern storagerelated change risk and control activities including preapproved change frameworks.
  • Act as the primary interface with strategic partners holding vendors accountable for service quality and outcomes.
  • Oversee incident problem and vulnerability trends ensuring effective root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Coordinate operational readiness for upgrades migrations and new storage capabilities transitioning into BAU.
  • Work closely with Service Owners Engineering Security and Risk teams to ensure stable resilient services.


What do I need

  • Proven experience in Infrastructure or Service Management roles within large regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated capability managing vendordelivered services and multipartner operating models.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITILaligned service management practices.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise storage platforms including Dell (PowerMax/VMAX/Isilon file/ECS) NetApp (synchronousFile storage) and Pure flash arrays.
  • Experience across change incident problem and vulnerability management with a riskaware mindset.
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear service business and risk impacts.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with confidence operating and making decisions in complex environments.
