NOTICE OF VACANCY
Position: 9-12 Instructional Technology Specialist
Overview: The CRLS ICTS school based team composed of Library Media Specialists Instructional Technology Specialist and Technology Support Technicians work as a team to provide support at the building level. Under the direction of the Principal and Director of Educational Technology the Instructional Technology Specialist is responsible for ensuring that technology is an integral part of the classrooms curriculum and administration of the school building.
Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Collaborate with other CRLS Instructional Technology Specialist to provide unified support to CRLS
- Collaborate with teachers and other instructional staff to develop curriculum that effectively integrates technology for assessing student learning differentiating instruction and providing rigorous relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students across all content standards
- Support student teacher and staff proficiency of local state and national technology literacy standards
- Evaluate select and model appropriate technology tools to support students teachers and staff
- Advise curriculum department and school based administration on best practices for technology integration through review and recommendation procedures
- Assess design and deliver multi-modal professional learning opportunities for all staff
- Educate students and staff on the districts Acceptable Use Policy and other related policies and procedures
- Follow a plan for professional learning and actively seek opportunities to grow professionally
Program Administration
- Communicate a vision for instructional technology and inspire and motivate the entire faculty to achieve the vision
- Facilitate the efficient and effective use of all technology resources in the school
- Seek outreach and engagement opportunities with CRLS community and families
- Attend regular school and department meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree or higher in the field of Education with coursework or advance degree work in the area of Technology Integration in Education is preferred. Three years of teaching experience or equivalent in the field of technology preferred. Knowledge of Google Workspace for Education applications Aspen SIS Chromebooks Macs and Windows operating system; experience with interactive whiteboard software and professional learning design. *Massachusetts Licensure in Instructional Technology or Digital Literacy Computer Science is preferred. Meet NCLB highly qualified teacher requirements.
Salary: In Accordance with the Cambridge Teachers Association Unit A Salary Schedule.
