Overview

The Program Manager will have experience in Project or Program management and international capital works. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager he/she will be expected to provide support to the Senior Program Manager.

Major Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Senior Program Manager to support Shell DM Program/Project managers E2E
  • Deliver directly Program management function for smaller / less complex sites
  • Work with the other team members in the PMO to develop and improve the support services provided
  • Manage the overall success of assigned regional portfolio program and project planning activities including effectively developing and driving the program budget schedule project team roles & responsibilities stakeholder approvals and identifying the risks and mitigation measures
  • Support the development of templates and standard process needed liaising with the other Regional PMO across JLL to identify best practice and adopt improvements

Ongoing Delivery Support

  • Assist with Client and service providers
  • Confirm existing project status
  • Assist the Senior Program Manager to establish and manage the Pipeline
  • Predict workload and balance supply of service with suitable resources
  • Prepare and deliver signed off Project Briefs (defined scope/ budget and schedule)
  • Assist Client in determining project requirements including gathering market information for budgetary purposes
  • Source the appropriate in-country project management resources for the Client
  • Review the Master Project Schedule
  • Monitor Project Delivery through reporting and conference calls (generally a site visit would only occur for kick-off/ mid-way through implementation and at completion)
  • For allocated projects within the program; Point of Contact for project teams
  • Deliver Project Reviews Change Control and Risk Management
  • Relationship management of suppliers
  • Confirm existing Client project authorizations (budget) current expenditure forecast completion total
  • Consolidate existing progress reporting by current suppliers
  • Provide two-weekly update on project status
  • Implementation of Client standards by in-country Project Managers

Process review

  • Assist the Senior Program Manager in the review and improvement in the internal process and reports
  • Ensure delivery procedures/ standards policies cash flow analysis portfolio management etc. are completed
  • Establish structured reporting systems and ensure that regular reporting is delivered to the Client
  • Ensure structured close out of projects including documentation handover to FM provider etc.

Personal attributes

  • Perceptive self-motivated collaborative and capable of working across the region through remote management skills the Program Manager will effectively to provide an operational knowledge centre of exceptional quality. Demonstrable European/EMEA experience and an appropriate professional qualification are a preferred requirement.
  • Good communication skills and experienced in remote management
  • Can manage and report all financial aspects of the project
  • International experience in capital works and/or programs
  • English both written and spoken to a good technical standard. Other languages an advantage
  • Educated to Degree standard for a Construction or business-related function
  • 5 years post-graduate experience in relevant field of operations
  • Has experience in handling client and/or Firm sensitivities knowing when to escalate with urgency or how to de-escalate certain risks
  • Has experience in translating client needs into existing or new business growth
  • Quest for excellence and deliver optimization and continuous improvement
  • Performance Management of the project management team
  • Planning & organizational skills to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated client relationship skills
  • Demonstrated people skills ability to work effectively within a team effectively and work openly constructively and collaboratively
  • Strong communicator good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills (English & local language); also an active listener
  • Self-motivated and confident Gravitas EQ
