Job Summary
Purpose and Scope
Supports multiple Summer School Sites. Coordinates opening and closing of summer school sites. Liaison to the host school administration. Visits schools on a daily basis to support and guide each Site Administrator Summer School in an advisory capacity during summer school. Oversees compliance with all state district and summer school policies and procedures. Confirms all state and district documents are submitted.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Education or a closely related field or any equivalent combination of education training and/or paid exempt level directly relevant experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this position for a total of four (4) years. Active or former MSCS school administrator in good standing with at least two years of experience in Summer School Operations preferred. Summer School Principal/Site Administrator experience preferred.
The following special conditions are required: Commitment for the entire period of summer school and attendance at the Summer School graduation. May involve missing some district training opportunities. Attendance at ALL preparatory planning sessions and periodic administrative meetings. Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment contract to participate in summer school setup and preparation. Availability for summer school closeout operations which may occur after the new academic year contract has started.
This position is for SUMMER SCHOOL ONLY.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelors Degree 4 years plus required years of experience.
Masters Degree 6 years plus required years of experience.
