About the Role
As Teacher of Design Technology (Product Design) you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and curriculum offer. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:
Secure understanding of the design process: research ideation prototyping testing and evaluation
Strong practical skills and safe workshop routines
Confidence with materials tools and processes used in Product Design
Iterative designing problem-solving and creativity within structured briefs
GCSE success through clear modelling structured practice and high-quality feedback
Pupils learn to think like designersevaluating real products responding to user needs and developing their own ideas into high-quality outcomes.
The Department
