Role:

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our Core development team. As a DevOps engineer you will be part of a tremendously hardworking and diverse software development team responsible for building and maintaining multiple environments. You will bring cloud management and sysadmin skills for application deployment and management while assisting in build engineering activities and looking for ways to automate the end-to-end deployment process. You have a passion for technology tempered by a level-headed approach to problem solving and experience with build and deployment software. You will bring a hunger for problem solving and desire to understand and play with newer technologies and software methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Configures and maintains our AWS infrastructure
• Builds and optimizes CI/CD pipelines
• Crafts innovative technical solutions using DevOps practices
• Writes code and scripting to solve problems with custom workflows
• Participates in architecture and software development activities
• Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions
• Uses open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project
• Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure security or development problem
• Performs incremental testing actions on code processes and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
• Monitors environments and performs upgrades to maintain stability

Qualification & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Prior experience (5 years) in a Production Engineering or related position
• Experience with AWS
• Proficiency in at least one scripting languages (e.g. Python Go-Lang Bash.) to build custom tools for automating processes as needed
• Experience working on open-source platforms
• Experience with performing infrastructure automation and development using configuration management and containerization technologies like Kubernetes Ansible and Docker for multi-tier Web applications
• Knowledge of virtualization environments
• Knowledge of distributed version control systems preferably Git
• Experience with databases both SQL and NoSQL preferably Elastic Search and Cassandra
• Comfortable working collaboratively in an Agile environment with engineers and product teams to anticipate operational needs
• Strong knowledge of security and recovery from a DevOps perspective
