Job Summary
Flag Person / Traffic Control
Firma Contracting is currently seeking Flaggers to work on underground and earthworks projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages work / life balance great opportunity for advancement training and potential for work over the winter.
Responsibilities:
- Physical tasks including digging sweeping sampling lifting shoveling moving containers and other heavy materials
- Flagging for traffic and pedestrians
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Actively participate in all safety meetings
- General site housekeeping
Qualifications:
- Previous construction experience is required
- Prior flagging experience is an asset
- Flag person certification is an asset
- Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers carb saws etc.
- Ability to work long hours (10 hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
- Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
- Positive attitude / team player
- Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
Safety Certifications:
- CSTS 2020 (required)
- WHMIS 2015 (required)
