As a Senior Gameplay Animator (First-Person) you will be responsible for creating animations and animation systems for the main character in First Person view.
Responsibilities:
- Create animations that follow the visual language set by the Animation Director and respect game design constraints.
- Strong keyframing abilities are mandatory. Most of our Main Characters animations are keyframed from multiple video references.
- You are good at treating and augmenting mocap; we use mocap as a base for some of our animation systems.
- Due to the way our engine work data needs to be tweaked very precisely so attention to detail is a must.
- You export and integrate your animations following technical guidelines in collaboration with the technical director or technical animator designers and programmers.
- You test and review your systems in the game.
- You will be working closely alongside your fellow animators animation director programmers and designers in order to deliver your feature on time at the level of quality expected.
- You are responsible for the final in game feel of your feature its how we validate the quality of animations.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in video game animation.
- A sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of visual quality.
- An open and collaborative mindset with the ability to find compromises to solve complex problems.
- Motivation and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility and resilience when facing production changes or challenges.
- A passion for teamwork and sharing ideas in a creative environment.
- Proven experience in AI animation and animation system development.
- Strong skills in mocap data processing.
- Familiarity with MotionBuilder (a plus).
- Experience working on a shipped AAA title (an asset).
- Solid understanding of technical constraints related to game engine integration.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and align with both artistic and technical visions.
