Scope of Project
This role supports the implementation and go-live of healthcare applications and technologies for the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC). The project involves managing and supporting Electronic Health Records (EHR) Lab Systems PACS Pharmacy Systems and related healthcare IT technologies and integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation build testing and go-live of healthcare applications (EHR Lab PACS Pharmacy systems)
- Collaborate with vendors clinical teams and technical staff
- Maintain health IT infrastructure including applications databases templates and reporting
- Troubleshoot triage and escalate EMR-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis for system issues
- Create reports for management and end users
- Document workflow processes for medical and mental health providers
- Support integration and interoperability between healthcare systems
- Ensure smooth operation of healthcare IT systems and interfaces
Required/Preferred Skills:
Required Skills (Ranked):
- 7 Years of Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferably NextGen
- 7 Years of Experience with Mirth Lab Systems
- 7 Years of Experience in EMR Integration
- 7 Years of Experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
- 7 Years of Experience with Healthcare IT Operations
- Experience working directly for a State Government Agency
Preferred Skills (Ranked):
- Experience with HL7 Messaging
- Experience with FHIR
- NextGen Connect Certificate / EHR Certificate / Practice Management Certificate
Education Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Computer Science Mathematics Statistics Information Science Health Administration Biological Science or related field
- Experience in Health Services Project Management and Information Technology
