Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Assemble disassemble or modify aerospace vehicle systems and components to correct failures or implement changes.
-
Oversee assembly disassembly and overhaul processes.
-
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
-
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
-
Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
-
Document procedures repairs test results and inspections for contractual and regulatory compliance.
-
Inspect components and verify repairs meet flight-worthiness standards.
-
Provide training and guidance to less experienced personnel.
-
Work under general supervision and follow established processes.
-
Maintain qualification/certification and pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals.
Requirements:
-
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance (interim or final post-start). U.S. Citizenship required
-
High School diploma/GED plus 4 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (vocational school/Associate 2 years or Bachelors degree).
-
Minimum 3 years experience working at heights using fall protection equipment (weight limit 225 lb).
-
3 years experience reading understanding and interpreting basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
-
3 years experience identifying hazardous working conditions and ensuring workplace safety.
-
3 years experience in repair maintenance and retrofit processes and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with live aircraft operations including pneumatic hydraulic structural electrical and propulsion systems.

Minimum 3 years C-17 platform experience preferred.
-
Ability to read and interpret C-17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.
-
Multi-system operations maintenance and repair experience.
-
Ability to work safely within complex schedules and establish procedures for high-quality productive work.
