Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer
Client: IT Veterans
Location: DC
Onsite 5 days per week
Job Details:
- Design and implement Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Data-at-Rest (DAR) and Data-in-Transit (DiT) architectures in compliance with NSA CSfC capability package requirements.
- Engineer integrate and validate CSfC components including encryption tunneling and cross-domain protected solutions.
- Perform solution validation and compliance activities against NSA CSfC requirements STIGs and applicable security controls.
- Support secure operations continuous monitoring and incident response within classified and high-security environments.
- Integrate and operate SIEM and security monitoring tools to ensure visibility detection and rapid response to security events.
- Participate actively in Agile execution technical design reviews and security architecture discussions.
- Troubleshoot complex security networking and encryption issues across tightly controlled environments.
- Communicate complex security architectures risks and mitigation strategies clearly to technical teams and government stakeholders.
- Contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up while operating with precision discipline and accountability in mission-critical environments.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical excellence operational reliability and sound security engineering judgment.
Requirements:
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
Required technical certifications include Security and CySA or GSEC.
Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 521 Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist work role such as Security SSCP CySA PenTest CASP GCIH CISSP or GSLC.
7 years of experience in cybersecurity including at least 3 years of direct hands-on experience implementing CSfC capability packages.
Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing secure communications solutions that comply with NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified standards.
Hands-on experience implementing CSfC capability packages and protection profile requirements.
Hands-on experience creating compliant Data-at-Rest and Data-in-Transit architectures using layered commercial products.
Operational experience implementing encrypted tunneling key management and secure transport mechanisms in classified environments.
Experience supporting security monitoring and incident detection including integration with SIEM platforms and performance and compliance analysis of the solution.
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns emergencies or other critical situations.
