Job Summary
The Course Attendant supports by assisting with food and beverage service at our golf courses Halfway House ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for members and guests. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency. Course Attendant helps with setting up cleaning and supporting service tasks and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the F&B Director Banquet Manager or Restaurant Manager
Day to Day
Greet Golf members/guests with a friendly attitude and professional manner providing basic assistance and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Take orders serve food snacks and beverages.
Prepare simple food items (hot dogs sandwiches etc.)
Basic liquor beer and wine knowledge.
Check IDs for alcohol purchases and follow all local regulations.
Operate the cash register/POS system and handle transactions accurately.
Restock inventory (drinks snacks supplies) throughout the shift.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
Keep the Halfway House clean sanitary and organized.
Follow safety and cleanliness guidelines ensuring all areas are maintained in accordance with Club policies.
Open and/or close the stand (set up cash counts cleaning).
Perform additional duties as assigned by management including supporting special events and large parties.
Additional Duties
Due to the dynamic nature of the club employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
Follow all company club and department policies procedures and instructions.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members colleagues and staff.
Follow safe working practices ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
Address and resolve challenges using available resources working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the teams success.
Wear a clean neat uniform that meets club standards.
About You
Preferred
Customer service experience or previous food and beverage experience.
Basic math and cash handling skills.
Must meet legal age requirements to server alcohol.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to speak clearly and effectively.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate well with team members.
Will need to complete RAMP training after starting.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand walk and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with potential exposure to dust fumes or gases.
Capable of climbing ladders squatting kneeling reaching grasping twisting bending and folding/unfolding as required.
Able to lift carry push and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Effective communication skills including talking and hearing with sufficient visual acuity.
