What Youll Bring:
Were looking for an Engineer to join our growing team.
The focus of this role will be the design maintenance and programming of our 2 tracing products. The role will be responsible for ensuring development is carried out to the department policy procedures and technical/process standards. Youll be working on new and existing feature in SQL Server and SSIS.
Day to Day Youll Be:
- Undertaking iterative developments of the deployable solution writing well-structured maintainable code.
- Ensure development is carried out to the department policy procedures and technical constraints /process standards.
- Test own output prior to independent testing & collaborate with the test engineers to make sure all deliveries are of high quality & are fit for purpose
- Involvement in process improvements
- Assists and supports junior colleagues as required.
- Provides technical consultancy and knowledge support to the wider development community.
- Communicates effectively withstakeholders and internal teams to resolve reported issues as quickly as possible.
- Developing to agreed milestones escalating blockers when necessary
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Design test and/or implements products or systems.
- Solves a range of complex problems. Investigation & resolution of incidents and errors
- Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Have exposure to and the option to become experienced with an array of existing technologies.
- Maintains team process and procedures.
- Provides input into technical design documents/design/ implementation.

Skills & Experience:
- You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQLServer
- You want to maintain high quality and good practices
- You have proven experience developingdata solutions using SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server
- You have experience of modern CI/CD practices and techniques
- You haveexperienceof automated testingand deployment
- You have been involved in the design & maintenance of complex systems
- Ability to work independently
- Proactive attitude
- You have a curiosity for new technologies and techniques
- You have a good understanding of version control practices
- Experience of working in a technical environment
- Familiar with Agile ways of working
- Ability to work from UK for one month each quarter
- Ability to script with powershell (desirable)
- Basic understanding of C#/.Net projects (desirable)
