What Youll Bring:
Were looking for an Engineer to join our growing team.
The focus of this role will be the design maintenance and programming of our 2 tracing products. The role will be responsible for ensuring development is carried out to the department policy procedures and technical/process standards. Youll be working on new and existing feature in SQL Server and SSIS.
Day to Day Youll Be:
- Undertaking iterative developments of the deployable solution
- Escalating blockers to the Senior Software Developer when necessary
- Developing to agreed milestones and ensure project run in accordance to a set of targets
- Adhering to technical constraints
- Participate in quality assurance to ensure products are fit for purpose
- Test own output prior to independent testing
- Develop against agreed tasks to the timescales estimated.
- Maintain a high technical standard personally. Actively participate in project tasks following own standards.
- Investigating and resolving errors
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Design test and/or implements products or systems.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems.
- Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Have exposure to and the option to become experienced with an array of existing technologies.
- Maintains team process and procedures.
- Provides input into technical design documents/design/ implementation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- You have excellent knowledge of SQL
- You want to maintain high quality and good practices
- You have proven experience developingdata solutions using SSIS and SQL Server
- You have a curiosity for new technologies and techniques
- You have a good understanding of version control practices
- Experience of working in a technical environment
- Familiar with Agile ways of working
