We are seeking a Senior Global Cloud Engineer to architect scale and optimize mission-critical cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering platform reliability and security supporting large-scale enterprise systems used globally.
You will play a key role in shaping cloud strategy driving modernization initiatives and ensuring secure high-performance infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
What Youll Do
- Design & Architect Multi-Cloud Solutions
Build scalable resilient and cost-efficient architectures across Azure and AWS for enterprise-grade applications.
- Lead Cloud Operations & Optimization
Manage and optimize global cloud environments (compute storage networking) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Drive Cloud Modernization
Migrate legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures using best practices (containers microservices IaC).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop and maintain automated deployments using tools like Terraform ARM templates or CloudFormation.
- Embed Security Best Practices
Partner with security teams to implement identity management network security compliance controls and threat mitigation strategies.
- Monitor & Improve Reliability
Build observability frameworks using tools like CloudWatch Azure Monitor Datadog or similar platforms.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Work with product data and engineering teams globally to enable scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience:
- 5 years in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience managing both Azure and AWS environments at scale
- Proven track record supporting large enterprise or global systems
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Azure services (VMs AKS Networking AD)
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2 EKS S3 VPC IAM)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Security Awareness:
- Working knowledge of cloud security principles (IAM encryption network security)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA SOC 2 or similar is a plus)
- Other Strengths:
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills
- Experience working in distributed/global teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud governance
- Exposure to healthcare finance or regulated industries
