We are looking to hire a Senior Specialist Shipboard Senior Specialist Shipboard Administration supports the fleet-wide delivery of operational excellence across shipboard administrative functions. This role strengthens shipboard performance through data analysis technology enablement and continuous improvement initiatives that support compliance consistency service delivery and operational readiness. The Senior Specialist partners with shipboard and shoreside stakeholders to standardize administrative processes support system and policy implementation and ensure accurate documentation and regulatory adherence. By enabling effective governance and reliable administrative execution the role contributes to efficient operations risk mitigation and an enhanced guest experience. The Senior Specialist upholds Princess Culture Essentials and The Princess Purpose service commitments while contributing directly to fleet success and overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Hotel Operations & Guest Experience

  • Research and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance hotel operations department efficiency and product delivery relating to clearance documentation shipboard turnaround operations.

  • Serve as the primary contact for hotel department technology development pertaining to shipboard administrative functions coordinating with the shoreside Guest Port Operations and shipboard leadership to launch enhancements.

  • Assist shoreside management to maintain and update shipboard administration SharePoint documents HESS and MSPM updates and inspection documentation.

  • Supports the shoreside leadership with various tasks pertaining to Guest Services operation sanctuary Collection and more.

  • Prepare fleet communications presentations and meeting documentation to support shipboard teams in achieving operational standards.

Product Delivery & Operational Efficiency

  • Use dashboards and analytical tools to provide real-time visibility into operational performance identifying trends bottlenecks and improvement areas.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews producing detailed operational insights for leadership.

  • Ensure accurate shoreside operational data capture communication and alignment to continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Responsibility

  • Identify trends variances and cost-saving opportunities offering strategic recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Collaborate with hotel operations leadership and shipboard teams to ensure cost-effective resource utilization

Team Development & Personnel

  • Model and reinforce Princess Culture Essentials and The Princess Purpose service principles across the shipboard Guest Services team.

  • Support change management and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Encourage teammate driven ideas assisting with development approval and implementation processes.

  • Maintain knowledge of all Finance shipboard roles and rotations to ensure accurate guidance and support planning.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support shipboard leadership in maintaining safe and compliant environments.

  • Ensure compliance with all HESS and US Public Health standards.

  • Assist in coordinating shipboard resources during outbreak situations requiring elected sanitation measures.

  • Review internal and external audit findings supporting development of remediations plans and long term prevention strategies.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Scope: The Senior Specialist Shipboard Administration plays a critical role in supporting the effective and compliant operation of shipboard service and administrative functions across the Princess fleet. This role ensures consistency in service and administrative standards documentation and governance that enable smooth shipboard operations and regulatory compliance. Serving as a subject matter expert the Senior Specialist partners with shipboard administrative teams hotel operations HR legal compliance IT and shoreside leadership to support standardized execution of administrative processes and strategic initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Problem solving: This role requires strong organizational and analytical capability to assess administrative processes identify gaps or inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements. The Senior Specialist must navigate dynamic shipboard environments balancing regulatory requirements and corporate standards with operational realities. Through cross-functional collaboration the role supports timely issue resolution related to documentation records management compliance processes and system adoption while promoting consistency and accuracy across the fleet.

  • Impact: The Senior Specialist Shipboard Administration directly supports operational readiness and regulatory compliance across the fleet. The role impacts risk mitigation audit preparedness and administrative reliability by ensuring accurate documentation consistent processes and effective system utilization. By enabling standardized administrative practices and data integrity the role strengthens transparency supports efficient operations and enhances the ability of shipboard teams to focus on delivering a high-quality guest experience.

  • Leadership: While this role does not include direct people leadership it requires strong influence and partnership across shipboard and shoreside stakeholders. The Senior Specialist leads through expertise by guiding shipboard administrative teams supporting the implementation of policies procedures and tools and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role depends on the ability to collaborate cross-functionally communicate clearly support change management and serve as a trusted administrative subject matter expert to ensure consistency compliance and operational excellence throughout the fleet.

Requirements:

  • Experience in hotel operations immigration and customs (shipboard or shoreside)

  • Experience with property management systems

  • Experience with data analysis reporting and systems implementation

  • Strong operational understanding of hotel environments and guest experience drivers

  • Shipboard experience in administration (documentation/ clearance) operations

  • Experience with HESS MSPM and audit compliance programs

  • Background in large-scale fleet or multi-site hotel operations

  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement or change management initiatives

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs projects or operations.
