Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior GitHub Administrator (DevSecOps) to lead governance security compliance and automation initiatives for the GitHub Enterprise platform. This role will be critical in enabling DevSecOps practices ensuring audit readiness and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across the enterprise software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage GitHub Enterprise (Cloud/Server) environments
- Implement and maintain RBAC SAML/SSO and access control strategies
- Define and enforce branch protection rules and governance policies
- Design and manage GitHub Actions workflows (YAML-based automation)
- Integrate and optimize CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Ensure audit logging compliance reporting and access reviews
- Implement DevSecOps best practices within CI/CD pipelines
- Leverage GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL Secret Scanning) for secure development
- Develop automation scripts using Python Bash or PowerShell
- Collaborate with development teams to standardize processes and improve platform adoption
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Git-based version control administration
- 8 years of hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise
- Strong expertise in:
- RBAC SAML/SSO
- Branch protection strategies
- GitHub Actions & workflow automation
- Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Strong experience in:
- Audit logging & compliance reporting
- Access governance and reviews
- 8 years of proficiency in scripting (Python Bash PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience implementing DevSecOps practices
- High experience with GitHub Advanced Security tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Bicep)
- Knowledge of policy-as-code frameworks
- Experience creating governance documentation and developer guidelines
- Experience conducting technical enablement or training sessions
