Job Summary
Facilitates traffic flow provides directions and assistance promotes safety and provides a positive first impression to our patients guests and visitors. Maintains security at all hospital outlets.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greets patients visitors and other guests and provides information to assist them in getting to their specific designations.
- Manages wheelchair distribution and provides security escorts for guests and employees to and from vehicles as requested.
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention
- Ensures fire zone areas are clear of excessive traffic or unattended vehicles. Patrols premises to ensure security of patients visitors and guests.
- Issue Parking Violation tickets as necessary and provides extensive/comprehensive investigative services by writing Security Incident/Occurrence reports for violations.
- Applies correct and effective crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
- Responds to and provides security dispatch for hospital emergencies including all Codes community disasters/incidents severe weather warnings and potential disaster situations which may bring high volumes of patients and/or others to the facility.
- Work closely with Tracer Security Services to initiate the use of the boot for chronic parking violators in the area.

Qualifications
Education: High School equivalent
Certification: Must obtain the following: Certified Healthcare Basic Security Officer (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety)
