What tasks can you expect with us

• Administration maintenance and optimization of our PostgreSQL databases
• Ensuring data integrity availability and security
• Performing performance analyses and implementing optimization measures
• Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery strategies
• Supporting the planning and execution of database migrations
• Collaborating closely with developers to optimize database queries and schemas
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting database-related issues
• Documenting database architectures configurations and processes
• Automating database installation configuration and maintenance tasks

What do we want from you

• Completed degree in Computer Science Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in administering relational databases
• Solid experience with SQL and database design
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies as well as performance tuning in PostgreSQL
• Experience with Ansible is a plus but not required
• Linux knowledge is an advantage
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) is a plus
• Strong team spirit analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
• Excellent communication skills in English
