Job Summary
Are you a Senior IT Security Engineer with a strong background in Identity & Access Management Java development and cloud security This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering secure authentication platforms used across modern digital services applications and cloud environments.
Youll play a key role in designing and supporting enterprise-grade authentication solutions that power everything from web and mobile apps to microservices and IoT.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Design develop and maintain secure authentication and identity solutions
- Work with SAML OpenID Connect and API security frameworks
- Build and enhance Java-based applications (Spring Boot)
- Develop and support microservices architectures
- Manage and optimise cloud-based environments (AWS)
- Handle incident management troubleshooting and production support
- Collaborate across teams to deliver secure scalable solutions
- Contribute to system design documentation and continuous improvement
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevOps practices
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership
Core Skills
- Strong Java EE / Spring Boot development experience
- Deep understanding of authentication protocols (SAML OpenID Connect)
- Solid experience with web and cloud technologies
- Hands-on DevOps and Agile experience
- Strong technical stack including:
- Angular (TypeScript / JavaScript)
- Kafka / MQ (JMS)
- SQL (Oracle PostgreSQL)
- AWS cloud services
- Linux command line
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines Git Docker Maven
- Strong operational support and incident management experience
- Proven ability to lead and influence within technical teams
- Experience with API Gateways and secure service integrations
- Tools & platforms: Jenkins Nexus Apache WebLogic Payara/Glassfish
- Strong exposure to RESTful & SOAP services
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and lifecycle management
- Experience with Jira Confluence and Agile toolchains
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- IT Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience
- 57 years experience in IT (security / development focus)
- Proven experience in team leadership or mentoring roles
- ITIL knowledge and experience (required)
