Thayer Internal Medicine a long-standing primary care practice within MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join their highly respected team. This outpatient-only practice provides comprehensive care exclusively to adults with a strong focus on geriatrics population health and the management of complex medical conditions.
About the Opportunity
This role offers the chance to practice high-quality primary care in a collaborative patient-centered environment. Physicians in this practice enjoy:
A full-time schedule consisting of 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative time each week
A patient population that values long-term relationships and continuity of care
Opportunities to incorporate procedural skills such as minor surgery or osteopathic manipulation (optional)
The ability to provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder if desired
Participation in call rotation with other medical staff
