Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Assistant I in the Department of Psychology(Ref.: 534829)
Applications are invited for appointment asPostdoctoral Fellow / Research Assistant Iin the Department of Psychology (Ref: 534829) to commence as soon as possible or no later than June 1 2026 for one year with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess aPhD degree(for Postdoctoral Fellow) or aBachelors degree or above(for Research Assistant I) inpsychology data science computer scienceor a related discipline. The appointee should demonstratestrong quantitative and computational skills with proficiency inmachine learning statistical modeling and data analysisusingPython R or similar platforms.
Experience ingrant proposal writing scholarly manuscript preparationandpsychological or behavioural data analysiswill be highly regarded. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects are required. Knowledge or prior work related toclinical health psychology behavioural health community health womens health elderly wellbeing or the intersection of physical and mental healthwould be an advantage.
The appointee will work withProf. Wai Sze Chanon projects related to developing predictive models for health outcomes and digital behavioural interventions. Responsibilities include managing and analysing large datasets assisting in grant and manuscript writing and coordinating research activities. Opportunities for authorship and professional development will be provided.
