Job Summary
Concrete Maintenance Technician Specialist
Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc. is currently seeking full-timeConcrete Maintenance Technician Specialistto travel andperform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Adkins Texasarea during theday shiftand occasionallyin night shift. This positionrequires performing a variety of tasks related tohighwayconcrete repair/maintenanceand adherence to all applicable federal state and local regulations as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
- Concrete forming finishing and repair experience required - Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Exposure to using shovels weed trimming machinery brooms & various small hand tools
- Wheel Loader Skidsteer etc operator
Preferred Experience:
- Roadway maintenance experience
- Air compressor operations familiarity
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Must be able to work rotating day or night shift is typically 7am - 3:30pm. Night shift is typically 6pm - 2:30am or once concrete is curedMust be able to work weather events such as snowice and floods.
Day shiftstarting rate of $17.00/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. Guardrail Experience starting rate of $19.50/hr
