About the role
- We are seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer who can contribute across both software and firmware development on Embedded Linux platform. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for designing developing and optimizing embedded firmware and applications for HVAC control products. Bachelors or masters degree in Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering or related majors and 3 or more years experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer youll be responsible for:
Responsible for embedded software design and coding by C/C language
Able to utilize Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and the C programming language to develop control services and algorithms for Linux controller device
Work with global software team on global Agile software development process and CI/CD DevOps) implementation
Conduct unit testing (GTEST or other relevant frameworks)
Collaborate with a global software team to implement DevOps practices employing Docker Conan CMake and SonarQube
Experience in Qt Python or other tools (For example: AI tools) will be a plus
Partner with system and cross-functional teams to comprehend and define software requirements specifications (SSRD and SRS)
Collaborate with control algorithm and QA engineers to integrate software resolve issues and facilitate releases
Provide service and maintenance support in laboratory factory and field environments
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Requires advanced to expert knowledge obtained through advanced education combined with experience
- Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization programs or systems to make enhancements within job area
- University Degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience
- OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
