Position: Financial Analyst (Contract)
Location: New York NY 10041
Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial operations budgeting and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills experience managing financial processes and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage purchase orders.
- Process and monitor departmental invoices and payments.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment inquiries.
- Develop and maintain budget reports and assist with financial planning.
- Participate in meetings and provide financial insights as needed.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work additional hours as needed to meet business requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Customer-service oriented mindset
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Finance Accounting or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in:
- Administration or office management
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Systems analysis and documentation
- Data processing and management information systems
- General knowledge of:
- Computer and communication systems
- Systems analysis methodologies
- Data management and information retrieval techniques
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Additional Information:
