This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel and will support general liability and labor & employment claims and litigation and will work directly with multiple attorneys on the legal team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized General Liability and Labor & Employment Paralegal to support the in-house Legal Team handling a variety of litigation matters including personal injury premises liability labor & employment and other areas as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the management of claims and litigation in a wide range of areas including general liability wage and hour employment discrimination labor premises liability and regulatory liability including all other general areas.
- The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of case management from inception through discovery and trial preparation including:
- Ensure that deadlines are met and internal reporting is completed timely.
- Manage case calendars and track litigation deadlines hearings depositions and internal meetings.
- Review billing documents and case reporting from outside counsel.
- Assist with the development and execution of litigation holds.
- Manage service of process and open new files in the Companys online litigation management system.
- Manage other projects as required or assigned.
Role Responsibilities
- Associates or Bachelors degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 8 years of litigation experience preferably in the areas of general liability personal injury and/or labor & employment law.
- Experience with discovery document management litigation hold development and tracking and case management.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management both in the corporate environment and at the park level.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with online legal research online document management e-billing and legal hold systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working with complex litigation such as class or collective actions or multiple plaintiff claims is preferred.
- Experience working in an in-house legal environment preferred.
