Job Summary
The InstallShield Developer is responsible for designing developing and maintaining reliable and secure Windows-based software installation packages. This role works closely with Development QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth product installation upgrades and deployments across customer Responsibilities Design develop and maintain installer packages using InstallShield (InstallScript MSI Advanced UI Suite projects). Customize installation logic to support new installs upgrades patches repairs and silent installations. Troubleshoot and resolve installation and deployment issues across different Windows environments. Manage versioning upgrade paths rollback and backward compatibility of installers. Collaborate with Development QA and DevOps teams to understand packaging and release requirements. Integrate installer builds into CI/CD pipelines and automate packaging processes. Ensure installer compliance with security standards including code signing and access control. Create and maintain technical documentation for installation build and deployment Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with InstallShield (InstallScript MSI Advanced UI). In-depth understanding of Windows Installer (MSI) technology. Knowledge of Windows OS internals: registry services file system permissions. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell Batch or VBScript. Familiarity with version control systems (Git SVN). Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and release management
