About the opportunity

Do you enjoy coordinating programs bringing people together and supporting innovative education Join the Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health (BHUDRH) and help deliver a unique multidisciplinary learning experience for students training in rural health.

We are seeking an Education Support Officer (MLIP) to coordinate the delivery of our Multidisciplinary Longitudinal Integrated Placements (MLIP) program. This innovative program brings together students from multiple health disciplines to learn collaboratively through integrated real-world experiences in Broken Hill.

Working closely with academics professional staff and external partners you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of teaching activities and supporting the success of this growing program.

In this role you will provide administrative coordination and program support for the MLIP program. You will work directly with academic staff to implement teaching activities manage schedules and support student learning experiences across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • coordinating MLIP program activities including timetabling scheduling and venue management
  • supporting academics and teaching staff in the delivery of program teaching and learning activities
  • managing program governance processes documentation and record keeping
  • liaising with external teaching contributors and partner organisations
  • coordinating teaching content learning materials and program communications
  • supporting program evaluation and assisting with improvements based on feedback
  • maintaining databases systems and learning management platforms
  • assisting with broader academic administration such as assessments reporting and compliance

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong coordination skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.

About you

You are a highly organised professional who enjoys working with people and making complex programs run smoothly. You are comfortable coordinating competing priorities and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • demonstrated administrative experience in an education or program coordination environment
  • strong organisation scheduling and time management skills
  • excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • experience using learning management systems and university administrative systems
  • high levels of attention to detail and data integrity
  • the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic academic environment
