Job Description:

Looking for Engineer to own PostgreSQL database operations on AWS-covering provisioning performance tuning high availability automation monitoring and cost optimization. The ideal candidate blends deep Postgres administration with AWS platform expertise uses Infrastructure as Code and thrives in a production support environment with strong incident management and continuous improvement mindset.

Required Skill:

5 years of AWS experience

5 years Cloud/AWS/Terraform and POstgreSQL expertise

Key Responsibilities

Database Operations (PostgreSQL)

Administer and optimize PostgreSQL across Amazon RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL and EC2/self-managed (where applicable).

Perform performance tuning: query plans indexes vacuum/analyze autovacuum tuning connection management (PgBouncer) partitioning statistics and parameter tuning.

Own backup/restore PITR logical/physical replication (streaming logical decoding) and cross-region DR strategies.

Implement and maintain HA (Multi-AZ Aurora clusters Patroni or equivalent) DR runbooks and failover testing.
