The ideal candidate must have strong clinical pharmacy experience and a background in hospital pharmacy settings. This role involves ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications while collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
Provide clinical guidance on medication therapy to physicians and healthcare staff
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
Monitor patient medication therapy and outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Pharmacist license in New York State
2 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience (Required)
Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting (Mandatory)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
