Medication test required. 36 hrs only 6 weekend shifts per every 6 week schedule. 2yrs exp for 1st time travelers Shift: 3 x 12 hr Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams Physical Therapy Respiratory Services Interpretation Services Phlebotomy Radiology Social Services Rapid Response Teams Pharmacy Transportation Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: Surgical Trauma Special Procedures/Unit Details: A 41-bed progressive care trauma / Tele unit primarily geared towards adult patients requiring care after experiencing traumatic injury typically requiring surgical intervention. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 flexing up to 1:5 as needed. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients. 7 East and West patients are hemodynamically stable. Examples of these patients include those with injuries related to gunshot wounds or other penetrating injury assaults motor vehicle crashes and falls.
