Job Summary
Were looking for an experienced and highly motivated GL Accountant for one of our clients a global data analytics and market intelligence company. and nbsp;
You will be responsible for the general ledger accounting including preparation of journal entries reconciliation of financial statements and accounts and maintenance of balance sheet schedules for UK Singapore and amp; UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership for GL Accounting for UK Singapore and UAE.
- Enter financial data and transactions into the ledger.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
- Perform account analysis cost accruals bank reconciliations.
- Review financial documents for accuracy and reconcile accounts.
- Analyse financial data and provide financial recommendations.
- Perform corporate tax calculations and prepare and issue tax filings (e.g. GST).
- Assist on the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Assure compliance and accuracy of our financial statements by performing checks as part of our internal processes.
- Backup Support /cover other GL team members in case of absence or during peak periods.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a related accounting role.
- BSc in Business Admin Accounting Finance.
- Analytical skills.
- Effective problem solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Knowledge of accounting standards with experience in an international capacity.
- Proven ability to work in a team and independently.
- Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent spoken and written English. and nbsp;
- Any professional accounting qualification will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Netsuite (ERP) will be considered a plus.
