Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • .

    Supervise coordinate and schedule the maintenance of all heavy mining machineries to ensure identification and elimination of equipment breakdowns.

  • .

    Perform routine check on machineries for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

  • .

    Test repaired machineries for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.

  • .

    Ensure Clean lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machineries.

  • .

    Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Mine Manager from time to time and also machineries working in other projects/locations

  • .

    Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and supplies.

  • .

    To ensure sustained availability of equipment for mines operation with minimum operating costs.

  • .

    To ensure proper housekeeping at all times i.e. before and after any maintenance works.

  • .

    Liaise with OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) service engineers/representatives as in equipment commissioning warranty product support and technical manpower development

  • .

    Perform all performance appraisal of staff/intending staff for proper upgrading/selection.

  • .

    It is the responsibility to ensure safety of men working with him in accordance with the company’s safety practices/guidelines and the safety of machineries working under his control.

  • .

    Prepare the maintenance budget for the workshop requirements & mining fleet across the group operations

  • .

    Monitor and control workshop budgets

  • .

    Schedule and assign work orders

  • .

    Maintain accurate service and maintenance records of all machineries in the company deployed at different locations

  • .

    Train and develop workshop staff

  • .

    Identify and implement process and continuous improvements

  • .

    Any near misses/accidents are to be immediately reported to the superiors for timely actions to be taken.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent in the relevant discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as expatriate Workshop Manager in HEMM (Heavy earth Moving Machineries) maintenance and spare part planning with proven track record of repair and maintenance of mining/ quarry machineries fleet.

Other Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of mechanical principles and practices excellent communication & interpersonal skills ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Technical Skills Requirements

  • .

    Strong technical background in mechanical or automotive fields

  • .

    Sound knowledge on construction of garage and the list of the equipment’s to be installed.

  • .

    Planning of necessary human resources to maintain the fleet at different locations.

  • .

    Proven experience in ERP software in materials management Plant & maintenance modules. Update and report all the maintenance activities & assets wise costing to present the management

  • .

    Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or similar role

  • .

    Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively

  • .

    Good understanding of health and safety regulations

  • .

    Spares & consumables planning in advance to procure with highest standard of negotiation and importing of spares from different countries based on the valuation.

  • .

    Maintain inventory of tools parts and supplies

  • .

    Ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance tasks

  • .

    Identify and implement process improvements

  • .

    Manage daily operations of the workshop

  • .

    Supervise and lead a team of mechanical & electrical technicians
