Leads the development implementation and evaluation of engineering programs and services across the organization. Oversite of capital planning design and construction infrastructure facilities operations safety and security environmental services and biomedical services. The VP will collaborate with hospital leadership medical staff and external partners to ensure the delivery of safe efficient and innovative engineering solutions that maintain compliance with regulatory standards and support clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.
Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of relevant experience a masters degree in hospital administration business administration or closely related field. and proven leadership in systemwide facilities management.
Oversees the management development implementation and evaluation of programs and services of assigned departments and programs including facilities operations design and construction safety biomedical engineering and environmental services. Ensures alignment with the organizations mission goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in the development implementation and evaluation of the organizations mission and goals and leads the strategic capital and facilities planning for the institution. Reports to leadership on departmental goals issues and forecasts.
- Monitors and manages financial material and staffing resources to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Oversees hiring evaluation and disciplinary processes for assigned departments and programs; assists supervisory personnel in policy development and goal setting; and resolves complex managerial issues.
- Manages all capital project delivery and contracts negotiating with internal and external groups and vendors.
- Ensures facility and safety-related regulatory compliance (TJC OSHA NFPA EPA DOH etc.). Oversees life safety initiatives and risk management. Works with emergency management and response teams to facilitate disaster preparedness and execution.
- Develops and implements all energy conservation and sustainability initiatives within the institution.
- Collaborates with hospital leadership medical staff and external partners to ensure the delivery of safe efficient and innovative engineering solutions that maintain compliance with regulatory standards and support clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.
- Initiates and promotes continuous performance improvement processes ensures compliance with accrediting bodies and relevant regulations and maintains quality assurance programs.
- Promotes the organization to the community recommending and implementing marketing strategies. Plans and participates in educational programs for professional and client communities.
Education Requirement:
Masters Degree in hospital administration business administration engineering or related field or equivalent experience and education required.

- Ten years of management and leadership experience in a complex healthcare setting required.
- Experience in a teaching and/or research institution preferred.
- Experience in a pediatric or maternal/child health program preferred.
