Role Summary
Our client is seeking a Marketing Associate Digital & Content to join their growing Nairobi-based team. This is a full-time in-office role reporting to the Head of Content.
This position is suited for a dynamic and creative professional who combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and managing the organizations digital presence ensuring all content reflects the brand voice and resonates with a global audience.
The Marketing Associate will be responsible for driving content across all digital channels including website social media and newsletters. This role requires an individual who can balance planning and executiondeveloping content strategies while actively writing editing and publishing high-quality material. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling detail-oriented and highly motivated to share compelling narratives from across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Plan develop and execute content strategies across digital platforms
Draft edit and publish engaging content including articles newsletters and social media posts
Manage editorial calendars and coordinate content campaigns
Produce and oversee multimedia content including reels and short-form video
Maintain and update website content to ensure consistency accuracy and alignment with brand voice
Create schedule and analyse email marketing campaigns including audience segmentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and travel teams to ensure cohesive storytelling
Monitor content performance and leverage insights to continuously refine strategy
Uphold high editorial standards and ensure consistency across all communication channels
Requirements
Skills & Experience
35 years of experience in marketing communications or content management.Experience in the Travel Industry Highly Preferred.
Exceptional writing and editing skills in English
Proven experience managing digital content and editorial workflows
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms (experience with tools such as HubSpot and Meta is an advantage)
A strong interest in travel culture conservation and African storytelling
Experience within the tourism or travel industry is an added advantage
Ability to thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment
Based in Nairobi and available to work fully onsite
