OVERVIEW OF POSITION

The Site Manager is responsible for setting the direction of the assigned clinic to ensure the delivery of high-quality professional clinical services. This role fosters a collaborative high-performing team environment focused on excellent patient care.

This position will be based at our Heart of the City Health Center located at 100 Cherry St. The clinic specializes in Internal Medicine serving patients ages 18 and older. The Site Manager provides leadership and oversight for the entire care team including the RN Site Manager registered nurses medical assistants front desk staff physicians and advanced practice providers.

The Site Manager provides oversight of all operational functions at the site including staffing safety and compliance with organizational policies as well as local state and federal regulations and accrediting body standards.

The Site Manager is expected to consistently model and uphold the organizations Mission Policies Procedures and Code of Ethics in all actions and communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate leadership and management skills that foster a culture of high performance.
  • Model and communicate key values in a way that supports Cherry Healths mission.
  • Create scheduled staff hours of work priorities and assignments to ensure efficient operation based on workload.
  • Review risk management Identify and remediate all health and safety concerns at assigned location to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Manage and maintain appearance of site ensuring cleanliness and professional standards per organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to drive productivity expectations and maximize efficient operations of clinic.
  • Provide coaching consistently promptly and appropriately to all site staff
  • Direct supervise train evaluate organizational competencies.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of department/program budget.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities through reviews meetings reports and observation of results according to professional practice standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Regularly hold meetings to communicate organizational initiatives and updates to staff.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary planning to meet patient care and health service objectives.
  • Participate in planning and coordinating emergency preparedness plans.
  • Manage additional operation aligned departments and/or operational initiatives as assigned by the Director of Practice Operations.
  • Act as a resource for the medical questions and concerns for patients families and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal verbal non-verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism when interacting with patients providers staff and external partners.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify problems think logically and devise practical solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EMR/EHR platforms.
  • Understanding of policies procedures and operations of a health care practice.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours if needed.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR training according to requirements of license or certification.
  • Working knowledge and awareness of state and federal requirements and codes governing treatment.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATES:

  • Current registered nurse license with the State of Michigan preferred.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five or more years of management experience in an ambulatory care setting which includes working with multiple providers. Prefer experience in family practice managed care and working with high need populations government funding and multiple sites.
  • Experience with quality improvement management.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above
