Job Summary
The Business Analyst 2 supports a system modernization initiative for a Solicitation Review System. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements conducting gap analysis and supporting system redesign using workflow automation and reporting tools. The BA works closely with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of business and system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Elicit document and validate business and technical requirements
- Lead and coordinate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Translate regulatory and policy requirements into system functionality
Gap Analysis & Process Improvement
- Conduct current vs. future state analysis of system workflows
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Analyze reporting capabilities and enhancements using Power BI
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with system advisors and development teams
- Track implementation progress and validate system functionality
- Provide weekly updates on project status risks and issues
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed requirements documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop process maps workflow diagrams and reporting requirements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all deliverables
Testing & Validation
- Support test planning test case creation and execution
- Validate system functionality against requirements
- Document test results and ensure issue resolution
Key Deliverables

- Current-state workflows data fields roles and automation processes
- Future-state functional requirements and workflows
- Requirements traceability matrix
Gap Analysis & Recommendations
- Identification of workflow data and reporting gaps
- Recommendations for system improvements and enhancements
Implementation Support
- Requirements change log and version tracking
- Weekly collaboration updates and meeting summaries
- User manuals for all system roles
Testing Deliverables
- Master test plan and testing strategy
- Test cases scripts and execution results
Status Reporting
- Weekly progress reports
- Risk issue and dependency tracking
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in business analysis including:
- Requirements elicitation and documentation
- Gap analysis
- Testing and validation
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- 5 years of experience with Power BI
- 5 years of experience with Power Automate
- 1 year of experience with Jotform
