The Scrum Master will play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of the ASX Trade NextGen Enhancement project. This role is responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies removing impediments fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes aligned with ASXs strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This role is strategic in nature as it will be part of the persistent team which we want to establish for ASX Trade platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Scrum/Hybrid Agile Facilitation
Lead daily stand-ups sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Ensure agile best practices are followed and adapted to the projects needs.
Team Enablement
Coach and mentor team members in agile principles and practices and align with the enterprise delivery governance framework.
Foster a collaborative high-performing team environment.
Impediment Removal
Proactively identify and resolve blockers to delivery.
Escalate issues to project governance forums as required.
Liaise with Product Owners Project Managers Business Analysts Developers Testers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Communicate progress risks and dependencies clearly.
Continuous Improvement
Drive process improvements and adoption of new tools (e.g. CI/CD automation observability platforms).
Support the team in adapting to evolving requirements and priorities.
Delivery Governance and helping in RAIDD
Ensure delivery milestones are met and documented.
Support reporting and compliance with ASXs delivery framework.
Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in large-scale complex technology projects in Finance industry would prefer Capital Markets.
Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban) and delivery methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts Developers Testers Infrastructure etc.).
Excellent facilitation coaching and conflict resolution skills.
Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira Confluence).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
Knowledge of financial markets or trading platforms (desirable).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
